Kerry Roper is a UK based graphic designer and illustrator. His work combines photography, typography and traditional based illustration. Kerry has designed t-shirts for Nike and more recently a limited edition Ladies tee for the Topshop Illustreight project – he was one of eight artists selected for the project. He has had numerous group exhibitions such as Native Weapon, London 2004, and the a.k.a. gallery in Rome 2005 – 2008 saw him have his first solo show ‘No Offence Unintended’ which saw a combination of his commercial and personal projects. Some of the clients that Kerry has worked for are Hed Kandi records, Nike, Snickers, Rome snowboards and numerous others. His work can often please or offend, he believes that ideas are paramount – and aims to engage the viewer with his compositions. The majority of his work is digitally produced and composed on the computer – he uses various textures to help give his work a more spontaneous and organic feel – adding ink, spray paint and any other mark making textures/images he can get his hands on.
